Dominic Grossi and Karen Miles Shine at the 2025 Browning Briley
The 2025 Browning Briley Championship, held April 8–12 at Greater Houston Sports Club, once again lived up to its reputation as one of the most prestigious stops on the NSCA calendar. With nearly 500 shooters from across the country, massive prize money, and top-tier hospitality, this year’s event delivered across the board—from competition to camaraderie.
Champions Crowned
Dominic Grossi reclaimed the spotlight by securing his second career HOA title at the Browning Briley, finishing with a commanding 192/200 in the Main Event. In the Ladies division, Karen Miles went back-to-back, successfully defending her title with an impressive 189/200.

A Format That Pays
The Browning Briley team continues to lead with innovation. This year’s Main Event featured $50,000 in total prize money, including a $25,000 check for the HOA winner, with $15,000 and $10,000 going to second and third respectively. On top of that, if the HOA main event winner used a Browning shotgun they would have walked away with an extra $5,000 bonus.
But the prize money wasn’t just for the podium. For the first time, $100 from every Main Event entry was returned to class, creating a lucrative payout structure for shooters at every level. With this move, the Browning Briley Championship delivered on its promise to reward performance across the board—not just at the top.
Class and Lewis payouts were divided across all NSCA classes (Master through D), making this one of the most accessible high-payout shoots of the year.
Full Slate of Events
The action didn’t stop at the Main Event. Shooters competed across a stacked lineup of side events, including:
- FITASC (100 targets)
- Winchester Cup Super Sporting
- 5-Stand
- Sporting Lite Prelim
- True Pair Prelim
- Sub-Gauge Events (20ga, 28ga, .410)
Each event brought its own mix of trophies, payout options, and fierce competition—with all shoot-offs and award presentations handled in classic GHSC fashion: efficient, celebratory, and shooter-first.

Legendary Hospitality
One of the most anticipated parts of the Browning Briley each year is the community experience—and 2025 delivered in full.
- Friday night’s Crawfish Boil, hosted by Browning and Briley, brought hundreds together for food, drinks, and laughs.
- Briley Bingo followed, offering shooters a shot at shotguns, gear, and prizes from top sponsors.
- Saturday night wrapped up with the famous awards banquet, a tradition that continues to grow in scale and sentiment. Champions were honored, trophies were handed out, and the crowd was as loud as it was proud.
Final Thoughts
The 2025 Browning Briley didn’t just maintain tradition—it raised the bar. Between massive payouts, a competitive yet welcoming environment, and first-class execution from Kevin Dougherty and the entire GHSC staff, this year’s championship set a new standard for what a premier sporting clays event can be.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make the 2025 Browning Briley one to remember.
