I just had my browning fixed by a gunsmith here in Florida. I had broke both ears off the sides of my Browning O/U 

Turned out real good and it was a 125.00 new stock if I could find it was going to be about 800.00 

I guess it depends where it is cracked/ if it can be fixed

Thanks for your response. This is great info. 125$ seems very reasonable. Cracked the forearm on my old gun around a year ago and have been shooting a different gun. 

If it's not an heirloom or serious piece then you tube is the best! I redid the wood on an old 1187 my dad had and it's way nicer than it was. Wasn't valuable wasn't sentimental and now we don't worry about it on a kayak out duck hunting in the harbor but it still looks good from 20' at the clay courses!  Best of luck either way you go!!
